The 4th Annual Encore Dance Scrapbooking Crop Fundraiser details are ready to share!

Hit the back of your closet and pull out that Hawaiian print shirt, because our theme this year is HAWAIIAN. This is likely as close to Hawaii as Christa and I will ever get so join us as we celebrate the beauty and sounds of Hawaii. Can't you feel the island breezes already?

 

When: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2013

Where: GALE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

            10 Barnswallow Drive, Elmira N3B 0A8 (This is the other end of the street from last year's location.)

Time: 9 am - 9 pm (12 hours of scrapping friends!)

Cost: $45

Includes: delish food and snacks, lots of scrapping space, great lighting, swag bag, door prizes, and tons of fun!

- Paypal (You do not have to have a paypal account to use the Paypal button. You will be charged a nominal fee to use paypal, but then you know you're in!)

Plans plan plans

When spring is barely here, it's hard to believe we're already planning for the fall. But the reality is, yes we are! We have a date, we have a venue, we have a theme, and very soon ALL will be revealed. Because when we're this excited, we just can't keep it to ourselves... for long! 

 

It's a Little Thing, but it's a BIG thing!

Tonight at 6 pm is the launch for the annual Turtle Auction Dollars at one of our delightful sponsors, the Scrapping Turtle. If you do not collect and use your Auction Dollars yourself, would you consider saving your Turtle receipts and Auction Dollars and passing them along to Christa or me? The Scrappin' Turtle will be running this promo from tonight until Saturday, January 19th, with the auction being held on January 20th. 

All items we got at the Scrapping Turtle auction last year were then given or raffled away at our crop, which helps us ensure there are LOTS of prizes! 

This is an easy way to support the Encore Crop - thanks in advance!

Only 1 More Sleep!!!

The pajama party starts tomorrow!! 

Are you ready for 12 hours of scrapping fun??

We are so very excited and hope you are too! 

The crop itself runs from 9 - 9. The doors will open at 8:30 to allow you to check in and move in! 

Remember, as always, we are collecting for the local food bank. 

This year, there is also an opportunity to help out Sheila and her family as they rebuild after a fire devastated their home on Labour Day weekend.

The raffle table looks fabulous - I'm sure there is over $1000 worth of items on it. How thrilling that YOU have the chance to take some of it home with you! 

Great food, lots of scrappy space, a table to set up your sewing machine and/or electronic die cutting machine, fun atmosphere, prizes, challenges and more! It's all adding up to a GREAT day!

Welcome Letter Follow-up

In our Welcome email that each registrant should have received last week, we shared with you about a devastating fire that left one of our local crop supporters, Sheila, and her family homeless. 

I just read today in the store newsletter that her family has just found a rental unit close to their old neighbourhood, so they are moving out of a hotel and the girls are excited to be close to their friends again. This means the family can return to a routine again, too! 

When we requested that if you were cleaning out your closet and had clothes in certain sizes, that you bring them to the crop and Christa and I would make a road trip to Komoka to deliver them. One very thoughtful crop registrant emailed me to ask if I thought Visa gift cards would be helpful - isn't she brilliant? Of course they would, since they are accepted just about everywhere! If you do not have clothes in the sizes listed but feel moved to do something, why not follow this guest's suggestion and donate a gift card? We'll put them in an envelope and take them to Sheila, along with any clothing donations. 

Enjoy your crop preparations this week! We're looking forward to seeing you on Saturday in your pajamas!

Kits and ScrapMuch?

Are you starting to plan what you are going to work on this Saturday? 

If you want to travel lighter, and/or love working with kits, our friends at ScrapMuch? have been busy putting layout kits together for you! They will have lots on hand, and they have very generously offered $1 from the purchase of each kit will be donated to our fundraiser! How fantastic is that!?

Our event is booked at the Woodside Bible Fellowship, 200 Barnswallow Drive, Elmira.

Wow! 60, really?

Wow! It's all we can say! If all of you who have told us you are coming really are coming, then we are at 60 guests! 

Since the venues we are looking at can hold even more, we are not capping it! So tell your friends - yes, there is still room! 

To our cherished donors, we thank you so much! Our guests are going to be wow-ed, because or your generosity!

If you would like to support our event, you can donate your time or your goods - we are looking for a few kitchen volunteers to help prep platters, and to wash dishes. If you are able to donate water, juice, pop, snacks, etc, they'd be most welcome. The less we have to spend on foodstuffs, the more $ goes into the fundraising account.
